Stone-Kissed Sea Cover Reveal…
(Or: Why I like the vacation by the seaside… with Lucien Thrax… or anyone in an Elizabeth Hunter novel!)
I don’t want to go all creepy myyyy preciooousss on yall, especially during #Booktoberfest, but it’s not often that a book I am so greatly anticipating is on the horizon… and Stone-Kissed Sea by Elizabeth Hunter is DEFINITELY on my horizon!
The most recent iteration in Ms. Hunter’s “Elemental group” of series. The first, Elemental Mysteries, is complete and gives a really detailed and robust vision of the people and environs that make up this paranormal romance and mystery series. The Elemental World books go into more detail on specific individuals and subplots, with a lot more romance as a focal point and a speedier flow. The most recent sub-series, Elemental Legacy, follows the most unlikely duo to come out of these books – one I am not sure even Ms. Hunter saw coming!
Stone-Kissed Sea, as a “World” book, focuses on the pre-introduced Lucien Thrax character and his connection with the overall story arc of the epidemic plague these characters are trying to thwart.
We know the challenges from the previous books, but we also know all that Lucien has been through, and it’s nice to know he’s getting a chance at happiness, even after so much time.
But enough editorial from me… here’s the blurb:
[dropshadowbox align=”center” effect=”lifted-both” width=”auto” height=”” background_color=”#60c1d4″ border_width=”1″ border_color=”” ]An immortal wanderer. A brilliant scientist. A centuries-old menace written in blood.
Lucien Thrax, son of the earth and child of the ancients, is a healer of immense power. But years of work on a deadly vampire virus have not led to a cure, nor have they softened the wall he built around his heart. When he’s forced to work with Doctor Makeda Abel, Lucien is convinced he’s reached his limit of patience with humanity.
Makeda Abel may be human, but she’s far from impressed with the brooding vampire healer, even if his mind draws her reluctant admiration. She’s learned how to survive in the immortal world, and it’s not by being afraid. Working together may lead them to answers, but it also pushes Lucien and Makeda’s attraction to the boiling point.
When nightmares become reality, Makeda will have to trust Lucien with her life. Finding answers has never been more vital. Finding love has never been more deadly. To heal the Elemental World, Lucien and Makeda must follow ancient paths and ask for help from the most inhuman of immortals. Because even with a cure in hand, the battle has only begun.[/dropshadowbox]
You know how you have those “go-to” books and authors that always come to mind when you share your faves? Well, for me, Elizabeth Hunter always ranks extremely high on that list. She is consistently skilled at delivering not only complex and meaningful storylines but also characters that are fulfilling to read and “know”. By far, I would say my favorite of her three series. In them, she brings to life far off places, imaginative cultures and heart-pounding drama.
It’s really that good.
Though you can technically read many of these books (especially the Elemental World novels) as standalone, I think to truly understand and appreciate this series for all its merits you need to start from the beginning. Therefore, the delightful Ms. Hunter is graciously providing the winner of the giveaway below with the entire Elemental Mysteries set in ebook! Future winner, I’m excited FOR you and a little envious you get to experience it all for the first time! (*sigh* Carwyn *sigh*)
Emma Watson is pretty excited too! 😉
OK, so what is taking you so long? Go enter, silly!
#BOOKTOBERFEST: The Elemental Mysteries BOXED SET by Elizabeth Hunter!
Meg, AKA the Queen Bee (QB) founded LitBuzz in 2015 as a way for her favorite authors to more-readily provide books to a legitimized reviewer. At the time, she never thought it would grow to include a dozen people, hundreds of authors and thousands of reviews.
Most of the time, you can find her with a bulldog at her feet in her home office in Pittsburgh, writing content or developing brand campaigns for clients – or sneaking a quick read of a new release.
She’s married to a great guy, has two amazing grown daughters and more animals than sense. 😉
