Meg, AKA the Queen Bee (QB) founded LitBuzz in 2015 as a way for her favorite authors to more-readily provide books to a legitimized reviewer. At the time, she never thought it would grow to include a dozen people, hundreds of authors and thousands of reviews.
Most of the time, you can find her with a bulldog at her feet in her home office in Pittsburgh, writing content or developing brand campaigns for clients – or sneaking a quick read of a new release.
She’s married to a great guy, has two amazing grown daughters and more animals than sense. 😉
After watching The Voice tonight I was reminded of a song by Dolly Parton called me and little Andy. Always gives me the chills and even tears.
I was talking to my daughter about Jolene tonight. I love the Mindy Smith version (especially since Dolly is in the video 😉 )
Awesome giveaway! Ty for the chance ❤️
You still have to answer the question, but you’re welcome, and good luck! 😉
Any time I hear Storm by Lifehouse I get teary. Drown by Bring Me The Horizon too. Sometimes they seem to connect with my life so much
It’s strange how a song can do that. Bring Me to Life by Evanescence always transports me.
John Mayer’s Gravity – it used to be one of my very favorite songs, but then the person it reminded me of did something pretty terrible and I had also found out my Grandmother (whom I was close to) had lung cancer (which had moved to her bones) and was given 3 months to live. She ended up dying 6 weeks later. The person in question and I ended figuring things out about the same time, but this song will always remind me of one the most miserable times in my life. 🙁
So there’s a little sunshine for your day! 😉
I’m really sorry to hear that. Pretty much any song by Three Doors Down reminds me of my first husband and the dark times surrounding our marriage.
Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley. Such a great song. Thank you so much! I’m so excited for Iniquity.
That’s a great example! So many feels!!
Baby Came Home today by The Neighbourhood always breaks my heart.
I will have to look that one up!
Song that always breaks my heart is ‘Good Enough’ by Evanescence *le sigh* thanks for the chance!
“I won’t Let Go” by Rascal Flatts
I have seen them in concert twice and I always get emotional with some of their music, like Skin.
Sounds lame and I don’t even know the title but it’s by Leann Rimes. The How do I live without you song. I’m not a fan of hers or country for that matter. When I was a kid, my Dad passed away, a few years later, my Papa(his Dad) passed. One year, I was probably 15/16, my family and I went to visit the rest of our family in Buffalo, NY.and A family member had a VHS tape made of my Dad and papa with snapshots of their lives to that song. Every time I hear it, I think of that day and I always get teary eyed. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house that day.
Thanks for the chance?
I have the same reaction to “The Arms of the Angels” by Sarah MacLaughlin. My mother passed, and my brother died suddenly 10 mos later. That song was included on a memorial site for them and I can never hear it without crying.
