Ruben and Jules had a hot and fast relationship back when she first fell into her true power as an Enforcer witch. Unfortunately for Jules, the Supernatural community also functions like human society in that it favors more masculine leaders and clings to an outdated system. Jules’ continual struggle to be taken seriously as a fierce witch in charge clashed with her feelings for Ruben. Ever the professional, Jules had to make the hard decision to walk away from the Vampire that was close to claiming her heart. That didn’t stop put a damper on our Vampire boss. Ruben made plans to win his witch, and ladies, he plays the long game.
I honestly don’t know what kind of spell Juliette has woven with this book. It is incredibly spicy and yet poignantly beautiful with so many gorgeous emotions that finally get spoken between Ruben and Jules. I couldn’t put it down! Even the suspense and thrill of appealing to the British High Coven and staying in the home of a Vampire doesn’t hold a candle to the thrall that I was under with Jules and Ruben’s romance. I am bewitched by Resting Witch Face and I cannot wait to see how Juliette Cross finishes out this wonderful series!
