“Her beautiful eyes drove me mad because they saw too much.” -Gypsy King
Gypsy King by Devney Perry is a perfect introduction to the town of Clifton Forge and the people who live in it, which includes the now dissolved motorcycle club the Tin Gypsies. Gypsy King isn’t a motorcycle club romance: it dives so much deeper, and envelopes you into a world of mystery and romance that grows as large and endless as Montana skies.
Bryce isn’t your average reporter. She was once a well-known news reporter for a TV station in Seattle, but she left when she realized that delivering the news of the day isn’t the same as hunting down leads and finding those stories herself. She’s determined to pick apart why the Tin Gypsies dissolved, as well as figure out why the old MC is tied to a new crime that has rocked her hometown of Clifton Forge. Her only problem is that Dash (son of the only suspect, and heir to the now defunct MC) is in her way, and she can’t shake him. I adore Bryce’s tenacity, as well as her vulnerability because it makes her seem more true to life. I love a female character that I feel like I could be friends with. I
Dash is a man who is fiercely protective of those he keeps in his inner circle: his family, his friends, and those most loyal to him. He doesn’t like the idea of Bryce getting the upper hand on him, so he attempts to play dirty to stay one step ahead of her…by any means possible. I love how Devney Perry writes extremely devious plots. I adore it when the characters are stubborn, yet attracted to each other. Gypsy King is the best kind of enemies to lovers book. It’s my favorite kind of story where the readers get the physical heat, but the emotional relationship is still in the works.
Gypsy King is the first book in the Tin Gypsy series: a quick-paced, enemies to lovers small town romance that you wish would never end! Trust me when I tell you, you will absolutely want to read the next books in the series in quick succession. Pro tip: Books 2 and 3 of the series are all available! Binge away Bookworms! Devney Perry creates a page-turning and unputdownable book, so don’t wait to read this one (and the rest of the series)!
