A painting, a panic room, a thief, and her lover … whose job is to catch her.

There are three things you need to know about Anna. 1) She’s a bounty hunter with adrenaline junkie habits, 2) She’s the “awkward” twin, and 3) She’s a thief – kind of.

Darius designs security systems for Cipher Security, and the strange and remarkable woman he met the night the painting was stolen is as intriguing a mystery as his hunt for the thief is.

But the lady has no filter, and she knows she can’t lie to the man who looks like a Disney Prince and kisses like fairytales are true, so she runs from the one person who may actually see her as the heroine of her own story.

Code of Honor is book #2 in the Cipher Security series. It is a full-length romantic suspense novel, and can be read as a standalone.

“Security is mostly a superstition. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.” -Helen Keller

Code of Honor by April White is the second standalone in the Cipher Security series. Following heroine/thief Anna Collins and the man who relentlessly (much to his own chagrin) pursues her, Darius Masoud, Code of Honor is the romantic cat-and-mouse game to alleviate the stress of cabin fever that we all need.

Anna Collins is the adorkable heroine who truly is the best counterpart to serious, and seriously charming, Cipher Security Agent Darius Masoud. Anna has the imagination of a Disney storyteller, and Darius is as handsome and honor-bound as a classic Disney Prince—which, coincidentally, is Anna’s nickname for him.

Darius and Anna get thrown together when her sister is implicated in a theft, and Darius realizes the enigmatic woman with word vomit isn’t demure Colette Collins, but her wild-haired sister, Anna. This is where the plot thickens, and a mystery is afoot. I don’t want to spoil this story has in store for readers. What I will say is that it holds all the classic elements of what I have come to associate with April White: heroines that are so badass you instantly want to be friends with them, a supporting cast of characters that are nearly show-stealers, and of course some historical mystery woven seamlessly into the plot.

If you’ve read the first standalone, Code of Conduct, you’ll notice that Code of Honor brings a levity that perfectly counteracts the weighty-emotion from Shane and Gabriel’s story. Readers will also get a glimpse of the next heroine in the Cipher Security series; Agent Dallas! If you’re still wondering what Code of Honor will have in store for you, April White has described “The Thomas Crown Affair” as a form of inspiration. Oh delicious mystery! My love and admiration for April White knows no bounds, therefore, I lovingly give Code of Honor 5 Fantastic Stars!  I hope that you will read it and let Anna and Darius steal your heart!

Code of Honor (Cipher Security Book 2) is set to release on March 24, 2020. The first book, Code of Conduct, is currently available.
