Want to know a secret?

It's about that girl over there.
Don’t look, but she’s the one in the power suit—with the long, black hair and the serious expression, the one I’m about to go on a date with . . .

Yeah, according to her, she “accidentally” donated an obscene amount of money to my charity — The Lineup — to win said date but I found out the truth. Miss. Button Up Blouse has a secret, passionate crush on me.

I didn’t know her name until two days ago, despite the friends we have in common.
Was I oblivious? Probably.
Was I blind to it? Definitely.

But I’m no fool, I see it now. The High Heel Harlot wants more than just a date with Jason Orson, she wants to be able to claim the best butt in baseball as hers.

Here's another secret . . . she has no idea I know.

Baseball, Boardrooms…and a Bear?

If you’re like me, you enjoy movies and books that make you giggle and have lots of romance. I first fell in love with Romantic Comedies on the big screen, and then soon discovered that my love also translated to book in that same genre. So it should come as no surprise that I love Meghan Quinn and all her books (there are several go check them out!)  I know without a doubt if I’m in need of a book that is both funny and sexy Meghan is my go-to author. She always delivers. Always.

The Lineup by Meghan Quinn is unexpectedly delightful. A book that as a fan I wasn’t sure I needed. After reading it, I can assure you that I 100% needed this book. Jason has appeared in The Locker Room as well as The Dugout, which are all standalone books in their own right. While he was endearingly cute in the other books, I loved the depth of emotion I experienced with him. He is still the loveable goofball that can charm the pants off just about anyone, but in The Lineup, Jason is also fiercely protective, awkwardly shy, and ridiculously sexy.

Dottie is my girl. I’m just going to throw that out there. She is strong, driven, and I absolutely love how she interacts with Jason. The dialogue in this book is both hilarious and steamy. Meghan Quinn is superb at pairing her leading ladies with their men in her books. I love that Dottie’s seriousness is the perfect balance for Jason’s ridiculousness. Jason and Dottie both have lots of feelings…strong feelings. Sometimes it’s passionate…and other times its annoyance. I think that’s part of the hilarity of The Lineup. Most of us are all too familiar with the awkwardness that comes with a new relationship, and reading Dottie and Jason’s story is like a highlight reel of both steamy interludes, and sassy conversations.

The plot is what hits a home-run here. Dottie has admired Jason since college. He was a hotshot catcher for their college team, and then quickly got drafted for professional baseball. Dottie took over her father’s real estate company in Chicago and soon became known for her shrewd skills. It made my romantic heart squeeze when Jason and Dottie finally stopped dancing around each other, even after their disastrous first meeting. And as a bonus for readers, the main characters from the other standalone titles, (The Locker Room and The Dugout) are Dottie and Jason’s best friends. They serve the purpose as much-needed reality checks for the two main characters, as well as the cheerleaders for their rookie relationship.

If you enjoy spicy, sweet, and hilarious romances with a dash of sports and lots of laughs then The Lineup is your book! I will warn you though, if you haven’t read Meghan Quinn before, you will want to binge read the rest of her books! Available now in e-book and paperback! Enjoy bookworms!
