n Green Valley, Tennessee everybody knows everybody, but nobody knows Sabrina Logan.

Sabrina has been hiding in plain sight for years. Living her life inside of books, dutifully helping her family, and hoping no one will notice her. So far? Mission accomplished!

Yet when sexy—and distrustful—sheriff, Wyatt Monroe returns to town with his daughters, he definitely notices the quiet librarian everyone else overlooks. The single dad can’t seem to shake thoughts of shy Sabrina.

Without quite understanding the impulse, Wyatt makes his mission finding her again, so he can . . . well, he’ll just have to reckon with that later.

What Wyatt discovers is a woman who trusts too easily, but who’s afraid to live. Trust doesn’t come easily to Wyatt. But living? That’s never been a problem.

And he’d sure like to show her how.

'Crime and Periodicals' is a full-length contemporary romantic comedy, can be read as a standalone, and is book#2 in the Green Valley Library series, Green Valley World, Penny Reid Book Universe.

“Love grows when you give it away.”- Sabrina Logan

I was one of the lucky readers to receive one of the coveted ARCs of Crime and Periodicals, Book 2 in the Green Valley Library series, from Nora Everly herself. She’s been teasing her fans with Wyatt and Sabrina since Smartypants Romance announced their Fall Lineup. Her teasing just touches the tip of all that is the sweetness of sheriff Monroe and shy Library Assistant Sabrina Logan, the two main characters that we get to watch fall in love throughout this charming story.

I’m going to channel my inner Green Valley sass when I say this: Y’ALL. Wyatt and Sabrina had the most unexpected meet cute that I’ve read in a while. I don’t want to give any spoilers, so I’ll just tell you that Wyatt is gentle and sweet, as a sheriff he’s got plenty of experience handling different types of people. His gentle sweetness is just the trick to help bring Sabrina out of her shell.

Sabrina has decided that Sienna Diaz’s version of Smashgirl is going to be her new personal mantra. Resolute, Sabrina is ready to take on all that Green Valley has to offer…well, one step at a time. Don’t worry though, Sabrina has the support of her teenage niece and nephew, and their  show-stealing younger brother, Harry.  Sabrina also adds her newly returned to town best friend, Willa, to her gang of pals. What Sabrina doesn’t realize is that she’s become a beloved part of Green Valley, she was just too unaware to realize it.

Wyatt needs to learn to trust again after a less than amicable split from his ex (who is also the mother of his two young girls), so when his girls’ favorite storyteller from the Library needs a rescue, and Jackson James puts him to the task, it just might be what he needs to help him open up to his own happily ever after.

Sabrina and Wyatt’s story isn’t without some hiccups, but they are both lucky they have family  that love them, even if they sometimes need a nudge in the right direction. Between how endearing all of these characters are, the intensity of feelings between Sabrina and Wyatt, and the sassiness of all the kids, this one is for sure going to send you to the dentist (because it’s so sweet…just roll with me on this).

Due out on November 5th in paperback and direct to Kindle Unlimited, Crime and Periodicals by Nora Everly is her second published book, and her first for Smartypants Romance. Her first book, In My Heart, is also available now in Kindle Unlimited.
