CoverBuzz: This Cover Has Me on Fire!
From Burning Ashes cover makes me desperately want the next book in the Collector series
I am sure you’ve read our review of Stacey Marie Brown‘s Darkness of Light – a series she’s already completed. Instead of just giving the same book from a different perspective, her Collector series gives us the story of what’s happening during an overlapping period, from totally unrelated people in the same region. There is no character cross-over and this series functions as a standalone. It’s the opportunity to watch a scenario play out from an entirely different perspective – in this case, the downfall of Seattle.
I recently finished reading the Collector books and will be putting a review up of the series thus far,
but let’s just say it was so good that I finished 3 books in 1 weekend… a girl’s got to do what a girl’s got to do! Don’t judge – you’ll do the same!
Make sure to mark your calendars for the next book in the series, From Burning Ashes, which releases this summer. I won’t go into too much detail here, but we’re definitely dangling over a cliff emotionally with the last book’s ending, so Stacey better get to typing and get this book released!
The cover definitely gives us a sense of culmination – so let’s hope that Zoey and Ryder get the ending they deserve – happy, and together!
If you haven’t started, there is no better time to pick up this amazing series. Start with City in Embers, a great play on words, since “Ember” is the main character in the Darkness series which premeditates this one 😉
I don’t often tell you to start reading…RIGHT… NOW.
I am going there. This series is wonderful. I waited a while because I was under the misunderstanding this series was actually about vikings. It’s not. But there is a super-hot viking-like bad-boy-does-good kinda dude you wanna meet… Ryker will make you swoon!
And Zoey doesn’t make all those stupid mistakes most heroines do. She’s a little older, a little more seasoned. She isn’t throwing herself into the fire and she’s also not afraid to take action. You’ll love her.
Wait… why are you still here reading?? GO DOWNLOAD! 😉
We can’t wait til summer!!!
Meg, AKA the Queen Bee (QB) founded LitBuzz in 2015 as a way for her favorite authors to more-readily provide books to a legitimized reviewer. At the time, she never thought it would grow to include a dozen people, hundreds of authors and thousands of reviews.
Most of the time, you can find her with a bulldog at her feet in her home office in Pittsburgh, writing content or developing brand campaigns for clients – or sneaking a quick read of a new release.
She’s married to a great guy, has two amazing grown daughters and more animals than sense. 😉
