Pierced is the first book in the Lucian & Lia Series, It was my first book I ever read from Sydney Landon and It will not be the last. I usually like more character development in the first book of a series but I was pleasantly surprised how engaged I was in this book. Ms. Landon knows how to give you just enough so that you NEED to read the next book.
Lucian and Lia are both lost souls who come from very dark and lonely pasts. Lia is from a loveless family and goes from a very abusive home with her mother and stepfather (I won’t go into details just know it’s very BAD) to being kicked out and homeless. She later goes to college and makes friends with a fabulous girl named Rose. Lia is living paycheck to paycheck and gets a job at Date Night(escort service) and that’s when she meets Sex God Lucian Quinn. .
Lucian is an unbelievably sexy alpha male who is running a multi million dollar software company. With his best friend Aiden by his side to run the company, they have a shared sad past that I am eager to learn more about! Lucian meets Lia through the escort service Date Night and instantly wants her. Let’s be real here a man like Lucian Quinn does not have to pay for sex so it was not surprising that he wanted her to leave her job so that he could pursue her further.

I enjoyed the way Landon was able to intertwine so many characters stories into the first installment is amazing. I not only want to know where Lucian and Lia’s story goes but I need to know more about Rose and Aiden’s stories.
I loved this story It was a funny, emotional, and sexy read. It does leave you on a cliffhanger but the story was good enough for me to keep reading.
