Bared to you by Silvia Day is a great, wonderfully written book with a depth to not just the main characters but the supporting characters as well. Many people say this book is too similar to fifty shades and I just don’t see it. Yes it has all the basic things that all these erotic romance novels seem to have, an alpha male billionaire with a dark past, the “I don’t do romantic relationships”, and ridiculous hurdles that the relationship needs to overcome. With all that said Sylvia Day still managed to make her story unique, funny and HOT!
This is not a story that makes you wait long to find out Gideon’s intentions for Eva. On the second encounter with each other this little ditty transpires and I quote:
Gideon: “It’s time to discuss what it’s going to take to get you beneath me.”
Eva: “A miracle.”
Need I say more? Oh if you insist.
Eva is a different female lead than I am use to reading. She is smart, independently wealthy but wont use any of her connections to get herself ahead. And to top it all off she has a very dark and messed up past that should have made her into a even more messed up adult, but she aside from some self esteem issues turned out pretty fabulous. When you pair her with Gideon Cross Mr. Dark and Dangerous who is a ultra alpha male billionaire with his controlling ways and a hot mess of a past himself they quickly become addicted to each other.
I found myself screaming halfway though the book for them to stop using sex as a band-aid for the issues that arise between them, but I was engaged and interested in finding out how their story ends as well as the fate of the other characters in the Crossfire series.
